The Student Poll Worker Program provides students with an opportunity to be a part of perhaps the most important process in the world: Elections. Democracy depends on informed and active citizens, and the Elections Office wants to give students the chance to gain hands-on experience and to get a glimpse of the future of voting. We work with local schools to seek out students that are interested in being a part of of elections by working the polls on Election Day.

If you are interested in becoming a Student Poll Worker, please contact the representative at your school:

Cherokee - Ms. Pat Gold
Creekview - Ms. Sherry Wallace
Crossroads - Ms. Rosalie Delp
Etowah - Ms. Ana Pettit
Sequoyah - Ms. Maria Baldwin

Why would a student want to spend his or her time:

  • serving the citizens of Cherokee County
  • involving himself/herself in a political process
  • and getting paid for it?
Because the program allows students to make a difference in their community, learn about the elections process, and be rewarded for it!
