Special Called Meeting of the Board of Elections
There will be a special called meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Elections on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. for the purpose of certifying the results of the March 19, 2019 Special Election. The meeting will take place at the Cherokee County Elections & Registration Office, 400 E. Main Street, Canton, Georgia.

Next Meeting of the Board of Elections
The next monthly meeting of the Board of Elections has been scheduled for Monday, April 1, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the Cherokee County Elections & Registration Office, 400 E. Main Street, Canton, Georgia.
 
Woodstock Precinct Polling Location Change
The Cherokee County Board of Elections and Registration has adopted a polling location change for Cherokee County voters in the Woodstock precinct. The new polling location is Woodstock City Church, 150 Ridgewalk Parkway, Woodstock, GA 30188. This change will be effective for the November 6, 2018 General Election. City of Woodstock voters will continue to cast their municipal ballots at the Woodstock Public Library. All voters affected by this change will be mailed new precinct cards

Jurors are chosen from a list of eligible citizens provided by the state of Georgia. This list is created from several sources, including the Department of Driver Services, the Secretary of State, and the Department of Public Health, not just voter registration records. Call for Special Election
A special election will be held in Cherokee County to fill the vacancy in the office of County Commission District 3, caused by the resignation of Commissioner Bob Kovacs. The special election will be held on March 19, 2019. Precincts involved include Bascomb (5), Bridgemill (9), Holly Springs (22), Liberty (24), Sixes (34), Sutallee (35), parts of Teasley (36), Toonigh (37), Victoria (40) and Wildcat (42). All residents of Commission District 3 who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the special election may register to vote through the close of business on February 19, 2019.
